SOME STORIES from the Internet

Plum Pud and Emile
A well-known example of synchronicity is the true story of the French writer Émile Deschamps who in 1805 was treated to some plum pudding by the stranger Monsieur de Fortgibu. Ten years later, he encountered plum pudding on the menu of a Paris restaurant, and wanted to order some, but the waiter told him the last dish had already been served to another customer, who turned out to be de Fortgibu.

Many years later in 1832 Émile Deschamps was at a diner, and was once again offered plum pudding. He recalled the earlier incident and told his friends that only de Fortgibu was missing to make the setting complete — and in the same instant the now senile de Fortgibu entered the room.

Jack Canfield and The National Enquirer

Jack Canfield "The idea was: what if I could sell 400,000 copies of my book? If I sold 400,000 books at a quarter each I'd make $100,000.  Wow!  Of course, I didn't know how to do that; I'd had the book out two years, hadn't sold that many.  But that was my new goal.

Now, according to this principle of visualization, once you start visualizing the o=utcome, you'll start to see resources that were always there that you never saw before because you weren't holding the question.

Once I was holding the $100,000 question, these resources started to show up.  I’m at the supermarket a couple weeks later and I see the National Enquirer.  It had 12,000,000 readers weekly.  So I called them up.  Ad rates were more than I thought I should pay, but I kept thinking about it. I started incorporating National Enquirer into my visualization.

Now I'm down at Hunter College a couple months later and I'm doing a talk, and this lady comes up to me and she says, "I'd like to interview you."  And I said, "Who are you writing for?"  And she said," I'm a freelancer but mostly I sell to the National Enquirer."  And the theme song from Twilight Zone went off in my head!  I couldn't believe that this was working. So I told her I'd do the interview if she would tell people how to get a hold of my book at the end, and she agreed." www.jackcanfield.com

Syd and The Pink Floyd
One night during production of the Pink Floyd album Wish You Were Here, the band was working on the song 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' about their former bandmate Syd Barrett, whom they had not had contact with in several years.

They did not pay any special notice when during the recording a bald-headed stranger came into the studio and started watching them. They later found out that this stranger was Syd Barrett, whose appearance had changed dramatically.

The Wizard of Oz and Professor Marvel's Coat
During production of The Wizard of Oz, a coat bought from a second-hand store for the costume of Professor Marvel was later found to have belonged to L. Frank Baum, author of the children's book upon which the film is based.

The The Wizard of Oz and Pink Floyd are also part of the alleged Dark Side of the Rainbow synchronicity.
